The New Mexico BioPark Society and the City of Albuquerque present the fabulous Los Lobos in concert on Saturday, August 18th, at the Rio Grande Zoo. Since they began as Los Lobos Del Este Los Angeles in 1973, Los Lobos has evolved into a respected artistic entity searching for themes and topics that are an interpretive pulse of our times. Using musical molds built on the blues, rockabilly, jazz, Latin and their own Mexican-American heritage, Los Lobos shows have become something akin to a hip family reunion. They were recently the featured artists on "Breakfast with the Arts" and have a new album out titled The Town and the City.

The City of Albuquerque and Radio Disney invite you to attend the annual Children's Health and Wellness Fair presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico. The event will take place at the Rio Grande Zoo on Saturday, September 22, from 10am to 3pm.Learn about children's health in a fun and interesting way! Health and wellness stations sponsored by community organizations and businesses will be located throughout the zoo, and volunteers will be available at activity stations near animal exhibits.From 10am to 3pm two children will be admitted free with one paying adult (adult admission is $7).Call 505.768.2000 (NM Relay or 711) for more information about Rio Grande Zoo facilities and programs.
