Entertainment production companies, of which Albuquerque has many, include musical, dance and theatrical companies which produce plays, dances and musical entertainment. They may include, for example, the Ballet Theater of New Mexico, or the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, among many others.

Most of Albuquerque's Coliseums and Stadiums provide athletic facilities for one or more of the city's sports teams, but some of them, such as the Santa Ana Star Centre and Tingley Coliseum, notably, also hold other significant events, including large concerts.

Albuquerque has a full array of professional sports teams, including baseball, basketball and hockey. However, added to these are the Lobos Teams of the University of New Mexico, which fields teams in almost a dozen different sports, including, of course, football, baseball and basketball (men's and women's).

Albuquerque has several fine auto race tracks, including the versatile Sandia MotorSports Park, which hosts oval, circuit and motocross events, as well as having a model car track, and the Albuquerque National Dragway.

Albuquerque has a fair number of theaters for the performing arts, as well as several auditoriums, where one may find both modern and more traditional plays, as well as at times music and other events.

Bands originating in Albuquerque are so varied that one can hardly classify them. They range from classical rock to cultural Spanish, with a little of everything in between. In fact, we doubt that one can find such a variety of different styles anywhere else, and on any given night, these styles are spread all over town!
