About:

Located in the heart of central New Mexico approximately 14 miles from downtown Albuquerque, Sandia Motorsports Park is truly a unique multi-use racing facility. The 86-acre park includes two paved ovals (1/2 mile and ¼ mile), a 1.7-mile road course that can also be used in a 1.1-mile configuration, a Motocross track, a paved ¼ midget track and a paved remote control track.

The complex was designed with many enthusiasts in mind, whether you’re a driver or a fan, Sandia Motorsports Park has it all. For those who prefer oval racing, Sandia Motor Speedway, the two paved ovals, hosts weekly Saturday night racing events featuring Late Models, Super Trucks, Modifieds, Street Stocks, Hobby Stocks, Factory 4’s, Slug Bugs (VW Beetles in racing trim), Mini-Sprints, Legends and a Powder Puff division.

The Park also host over 40 road course events with makes and models of all types, including motorcycles. The Rio Grande Region of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA), South West Motor Sports vintage racers, Porsche Club, Corvette Club and Sandia Motorcycle Racing Inc. all call Sandia Motorsports Park home. BMW’s, Miattas and lots more frequent these road course events on a regular basis, whether it is for full on race weekend events, test dates, Autocross, Solo, drifting or private testing, the road course gets plenty of action.

The state-of-the art facility is a modern and clean family-oriented spectator facility. With TV-quality Musco lighting, clean attended restrooms, great concession areas, free parking, a separate hospitality area for group outings and a playground for the smallest fans, the Park is truly one of the premier multi-use racing and driver training facilities in the southwest region. Training schools like DriveTech High Performance Driving School and Faast Performance Driving School are just a few of the nationally known instructional programs offered on a limited basis at the Park. The facility is also privately booked for testing, practice, race meets, race instruction, special events, manufacturer “arrive and drives” and even antiterrorism and law enforcement training.
